About Money Principles

We’re the Prince family – Henry, Alastair, and Fraser.

Our father, Douglas, founded Money Principles in 1997 with a belief that good advice should be human, independent, and lasting.

Today, we continue that legacy. We’re a second-generation family business with deep local roots, combining experience, independence, and a shared commitment to our clients’ success.

We build lifelong relationships with people who value honesty, clarity, and personal service. Many of our clients have been with us for decades – and now, we’re advising their children too.

A Family Business…

Our business was originally founded in 1997, and many of the existing clients remain with us today. Money Principles Ltd was established in 2021 to evolve and grow the foundations built by Douglas and Karen Prince.

Douglas’ professionalism, family orientated approach, and good-humoured nature are some of the reasons his clients immediately felt comfortable discussing their finances with him. Many clients had met Douglas’ sons long before they joined Money Principles, such was the relationships fostered through his advice.

Douglas passed away in October 2018 and is sorely missed.
